When Avi zangi was just shy of 18 years old, he began working for his father, a carpenter running his own shop, building furniture with his own hands and pouring blood, sweat, and tears into every project. As his father’s apprentice, Avi learned the ins and outs of custom millwork, structural execution, and high-end kitchen design. Through decades of hands-on experience, Avi mastered not only how to build a space his clients would love, but how to execute a seamless kitchen remodel in the most aesthetic, sleek way possible. almost 30 years later, Avi has built his business from the ground up, bringing his elite craftsmanship to discerning clients across nyc, long island, and miami.
In the midst of Avi’s journey to becoming a premier master builder, his younger brother, Asaf, joined the team as @thekitchenguy. Asaf began his journey immersed in the multiple facets that encompass architectural millwork and creating bespoke culinary spaces. As a visionary kitchen designer, he became the brains and operations behind the social media presence, showcasing the stunning transformations, innovative layouts, and detailed kitchen renovation projects the brothers created over the years. Recently, Asaf and Avi partnered alongside Ori, Avi’s eldest son, to open their flagship manhattan showroom, doca nyc. This unique space highlights an array of textures, materials, and premium engineering that can be tailored to any home’s unique footprint.
